It wasn't easy for the Kutztown women's soccer team Tuesday, but a late surge made the difference in a win over Lock Haven.
Lock Haven's Morgan Rodgers got the scoring started in the first half on a laser from just inside the box.
But Kutztown answered right back minutes later. Briann Shipkowski sent a cross in for Diana Malunga, who put it into the back of the net with a header to equalize.
The Golden Bears pulled away in the second half. Hanna Fenstermacher drew a hard foul inside the box to force a penalty kick.
Mariah Dimm made it count, beating the keeper easily to give KU a 2-1 lead. The Golden Bears would add one more to seal a 3-1 victory.
