In 2003, a 19-year-old hotel employee accused NBA superstar Kobe Bryant of sexual assault. The case was dropped after the woman refused to testify in the case. A separate civil suit was later filed and the case was settled out of court.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant moved passed former teammate Shaquille O'Neal and into fifth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
Bryant made a long jumper midway through the second quarter of Monday's game against Philadelphia to leapfrog O'Neal (28,596 points).
The shot was initially called a 3-pointer but later ruled to be a 2-point bucket following a review.
The 33-year-old Bryant is now only behind Wilt Chamberlain (31,419), Michael Jordan (32,292), Karl Malone (36,928) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387).
Bryant, who owns a pair of scoring crowns, leads the NBA at 29.4 ppg this season.
Bryant and O'Neal won three NBA titles during their nine seasons together in Los Angeles.
