Kutztown splits with West Chester

KUTZTOWN, Pa. -

The Kutztown women moved into fourth place in the PSAC East standings on Wednesday night with a 68-62 win over West Chester.

KU's Ashley Wood led all scorers with 17 points. Tanejha Smith scored 13 while Arianna Apostolopoulos had 10 for the Golden Bears.

Kutztown has already clinched a playoff berth in the PSAC Championships. They'll look to improve their seeding down the stretch.

The Kutztown men could not make it a sweep for the Golden Bears. West Chester ran away with a 96-67 victory.

Micah Fraction exploded for KU, dropping 30 points. Ryan Connolly registered 16 while Tracy Peal had 12.

Kutztown will host Millersville on Saturday in a men's/women's double-header starting at 1:00.
