The college basketball season opens Friday and for Lehigh and Lafayette it opens with tough road games, games that if they can win them, will help their resumes when March gets here. For Lafayette, the season will open on the road at Villanova tomorrow night. The Leopards are picked second in the preseason Patriot League Poll, and they've been in the league title game three of the last four years. That being said, beating Villanova would be a tremendous start to the year and a huge win for the resume down the road because Nova is a very talented team.  Lehigh's men also have a tough opener against a team from a power conference. The Mountain Hawks are in Minnesota where tomorrow night they'll open their season against the Golden Gophers. It's certainly a very tough early test, but then that's exactly what the Lehigh players and coaches wanted early in the season.
