The Vikings' signing of Matt Cassel on Thursday indicated to some Vikings fans that there might be a quarterback competition at Winter Park this summer. "Matt knows that. ... He's coming in to provide insurance for us if something were to happen to Christian, injurywise. We'd have a quality backup who can step in and do a great job for us."
