The Devils are on the ice for their practice this afternoon at Prudential Center. They will fly to Raleigh, N.C. later this afternoon for their game against the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night. Goaltender Martin Brodeur is expected to get the start after recovering from a pinched nerve in his upper back/neck. Andrei Loktionov might also return to the lineup Thursday after missing the last two games with an undisclosed injury. Loktionov is practicing today after taking part in Tuesday’s morning skate. Alexei Ponikarovsky is not practicing today after leaving Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to the Rangers with an undisclosed injury. With Ponikarovsky not out there, Adam Henrique has shifted to left wing on the line with Loktionov and Ilya Kovalchuk. Travis Zajac is centering Patrik Elias and David Clarkson and the Ryan Carter-Stephen Gionta-Steve Bernier line has been reunited. Tim Sestito is centering Harri Pesonen/Krys Barch and Tom Kostopoulos on the fourth line.
