Matsuzaka throws first bullpen session since injury

The 31-year-old threw 11 pitches with the catcher standing in front of home plate and 10 more pitches with the catcher crouched.
"Today is like a warm-up...I think I'll throw harder next week," he told the Mainichi Daily News.
The righty is scheduled to long toss and throw in the bullpen later this week.
Matsuzaka underwent Tommy John surgery in June to repair ligament damage in his right elbow and is in the final year of his six-year deal with the Red Sox.
He's expected to return to the mound late in the 2012 season.
