Liberty High School and Lehigh University product Matt McBride made his Major League debut a memorable one Saturday night...

McBride was called up from triple-A and batted seventh while starting at first base for the Colorado Rockies against the San Francisco Giants.

McBride struck out in his first at-bat, but followed that up with his first Major League hit his second time up.

Then, in the seventh inning, McBride doubled to deep right-center and collected his first Major League RBI.

He later came around to score his first Major League run.
