Another strong defensive effort and another huge game from Colin McDermott helped Central Catholic earn its second straight 23-0 playoff win on Saturday.
The (8-5) Vikings shut out Abington Heights in the PIAA 3A state playoffs by the same 23-0 score that they beat Southern Lehigh by in last week's Disrict 11 championship game.
McDermott carried 36 times for 261 yards and had all three of the Vikings touchdowns.
Central will make its fourth straight appearance in the PIAA 3A quarterfinals on Friday when it faces Selinsgrove at Bethlehem's BASD Stadium.
