North Penn falls in state title game
North Penn fell to Central Dauphin 14-7 Saturday night in the PIAA 4A state championship game at HersheyPark Stadium.
The Knights fell behind 7-0 in the second quarter after Central Dauphin's Brandon LaVia found Drew Scales for a 75-yard touchdown pass.
North Penn tied it early in the fourth quarter after a 72-yard drive resulted in a James Fielder touchdown run.
But less than two minutes later, the Rams responded with a 1-yard quarterback keeper by LaVia that provided the winning margin.
North Penn - which was playing in its first state title game since they won it all back in 2003 - ends its season at 13-3.
