Oliver wins NCAA Championship, Hamlin takes second
Easton grad Jordan Oliver won his second NCAA championship on Saturday.
Oliver, a senior at Oklahoma State, beat Boise State's Jason Chamberlain, 3-2 in the 149-pound final.
Oliver, who also won a title as a sophomore, finishes the season at 38-0 and his career at 127-6.
Lehigh's Robert Hamlin finished second, falling to Penn State's Ed Ruth by a 12-4 major decision in the 184-pound final.
Hamlin also finished second as a sophomore in 2011.
Also at 184, Maryland's Jimmy Sheptock, a Northampton High School grad, finished sixth and earned All-American status.
Penn State won its third consecutive team title at the NCAA Championships.
