Phillies sign Durbin, Betancourt
The Phillies agreed to sign a pair of players on Monday, including a familiar face from their 2008 World Championship team.
Chad Durbin, who was a key part of the Phillies bullpen from 2008-2010, agreed to a one-year, $1.1MM deal with the Phils.
Durbin pitched very well with the Braves last year, posting a 3.10 ERA.
The Phillies also agreed to sign utility infielder Yuniesky Betancourt to a minor league deal with an invitation to Major League camp in spring training.
Betancourt is an eight-year Major League veteran who's spent time with the Mariners, Brewers, and Royals in his career.
If Betancourt doesn't make the Phillies, he would likely be a part of the IronPigs infield this season.
