Phillies sign OF Laynce Nix

The Phillies agreed to terms with outfielder Laynce Nix on a two-year contract on Sunday, pending a physical.
Nix, 31, is a left-handed batter who can play all three outfield positions, though he's primarily seen as a corner outfielder.
The nine-year veteran spent last season with the Washington Nationals.
Nix could be a platoon candidate with John Mayberry in left field, as well as a valuable left-handed power bat off the bench.
