Coach Lawrence Frank won’t be patrolling the sideline when the Detroit Pistons host the New York Knicks tonight at the Palace of Auburn Hills. And big men Greg Monroe and Charlie Villanueva could be unavailable as well. The Pistons announced this morning that the personal matter that caused Frank to miss Tuesday’s practice also will keep him away from the team tonight. Assistant coach Brian Hill will run the team in his absence. “(Frank) has to take care of some family matters, and we wish him well and whatnot,” guard Rodney Stuckey said. “B. Hill will step up and take his role, and we’ll see what we can do.” Monroe tweaked an ankle toward the end of practice Tuesday and is a game-time decision. Villanueva is questionable with a tight hamstring.
