The addition of Texas A&M and Missouri expanded the SEC tournament to five days, and the Aggies are hoping to avoid playing on the first day of next week's event. Texas A&M has dropped three of its past four and heads to Arkansas on Saturday needing a victory and a Vanderbilt loss to avoid the 11th seed and a first-round tournament game on Wednesday. The Aggies lost 68-57 at home to LSU on Wednesday. Arkansas also has dropped three of its past four, and the Razorbacks enter the regular-season finale tied with LSU for seventh in the conference standings. Arkansas was hammered Tuesday at Missouri, 93-63.TV: 2 p.m. ET, ESPNU. ABOUT TEXAS A&M (17-13, 7-10 SEC): The Aggies have struggled since dropping a four-overtime marathon Feb. 23 against Tennessee. Senior guard Elston Turner ranks third in the SEC in scoring (17.7) but scored just 11 against LSU, snapping his string of four consecutive games of 20-plus points. The Aggies average five made 3-pointers, which ranks 291st nationally.ABOUT ARKANSAS (18-12, 9-8): The Razorbacks allowed a season high in points to Missouri, and are 13th in the 14-team conference in scoring defense (68.9). Sophomore guard BJ Young is emerging from a scoring slump. Young, fifth in the SEC in scoring (15.6), went for 27 points against Missouri and has scored 40 points in his past two games after scoring 15 total in the previous three contests. TIP-INS1.
