Ray Monica is leaving Kutztown University to become the next head coach at Arkansas Tech. The announcement was made Thursday by both schools.
Monica had a hugely successful run as KU head coach, winning a PSAC championship and taking the Golden Bears to the national playoffs twice in 2010 and 2011. He finishes his tenure with a 45-34 overall record and in 2011 had his team ranked as high as #6 nationally.
Monica led the best years in program history and turned Golden Bear football back into a must-see event at KU for students and alumni.
He'll go to Arkansas Tech where his team will play in the Great American Conference.
