Alabama 58, Tennessee 48: Levi Randolph led the way with 15 points as the fourth-seeded Crimson Tide held off the Volunteers in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament at Nashville, Tenn.Trevor Releford added 14 points and Retin Obasohan scored nine off the bench for Alabama (21-11), which improved its NCAA Tournament at-large resume. The Crimson Tide will take on No. 1 seed Florida in Saturday's semifinals.Josh Richardson scored 16 points and Jarnell Stokes had 12 and 13 rebounds for No. 5 seed Tennessee (20-12). Leading scorer Jordan McRae struggled through foul trouble and managed nine points on 3-of-13 shooting for the Volunteers, who will have to sweat out selection Sunday.Releford scored 12 points in the first half, including a 3-pointer on the final possession that sent Alabama into the locker room with a 31-27 advantage.Tennessee tied it up early in the second half but never took the lead. The Volunteer were within 44-41 with 12:13 left but would not score for nearly six minutes as the Crimson Tide pushed the lead to nine points and held on down the stretch.GAME NOTEBOOK: Alabama suffered a 64-52 loss at Florida on March 2 in the lone regular season meeting between the schools. … Tennessee shot 32.1 percent from the floor and went 5-of-23 from 3-point range. … McRae had a streak of nine straight games scoring in double figures come to an end.
