No. 10 Kansas State 79, Texas Christian 68: Angel Rodriguez scored 21 points and matched a career high with 10 assists as the Wildcats kept their hopes of a Big 12 regular season title alive by holding off the visiting Horned Frogs.Shane Southwell and Martavious Irving added 15 points apiece and Rodney McGruder scored 13 for Kansas State (25-5, 14-3 Big 12), which is tied for first place with rival Kansas. The Wildcats close the regular season at No. 14 Oklahoma State on Saturday.Kyan Anderson kept TCU in the game with 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting and Devonta Abron added 10 points off the bench. The Horned Frogs (10-20, 1-16) were already assured of finishing last in the Big 12 and starting the conference tournament as the No. 10 seed.Kansas State shot 63 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 42-27 lead into the break. Southwell went 6-of-6, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range, to lead the offense.TCU, which ranks among the bottom teams in all of Division I in scoring average, began to come alive with a 12-2 run to start the second half. The Horned Frogs drew as close as 52-48 on Anderson's layup with 10:58 remaining before the Wildcats got hot from long range and began to pull away.GAME NOTEBOOK: The Jayhawks own the head-to-head tiebreaker with Kansas State, so the Wildcats will have to beat Oklahoma State and hope Kansas falls at Baylor on Saturday in order to claim the outright regular season crown. … TCU's 68 points was its highest total since a 68-57 victory over Southern on Dec. 18. … The Wildcats went 12-of-29 from beyond the arc, led by Rodriguez's 5-of-10 effort.
