No. 17 Marquette 69, St. John's 67 (OT): Vander Blue scored 13 of his 16 points after halftime, including the game-winning basket in overtime, as the visiting Golden Eagles clinched a share of the Big East title for the first time since joining the conference in 2005-06.Jamil Wilson added 14 points and a game-high eight rebounds for Marquette (23-7, 14-4 Big East), which will play in one of the quarterfinal matchups in the conference tournament Thursday at Madison Square Garden. The Golden Eagles blew a 10-point lead late in regulation before surviving to win their fourth straight.Phil Greene IV scored 20 points and Jakarr Sampson chipped in 17 as St. John's (16-14, 8-10) lost for the sixth time in seven games. The Golden Eagles scored 18 consecutive points across halftime to take a 37-25 lead and held a 63-54 advantage after Davante Gardner hit two free throws with 1:53 left in regulation. However, Marco Bourgault's 3-pointer highlighted a 9-0 Red Storm run to end the second half, as Jamal Branch's layup with 28 seconds to go forced overtime.Blue's layup with 49 seconds left in OT tied it at 67 and both Felix Balamou and Greene missed on the other end. After a timeout to set up the final play, Blue got to the rim for a layup at the buzzer.GAME NOTEBOOK: Marquette has won 13 of the last 14 meetings. ... The teams combined to go 15-for-31 at the line. ... St. John's F Sir'Dominic Pointer was suspended for the game after fighting in Tuesday's loss to Notre Dame.
