Trey McKinney Jones chipped in with 12 points for the Hurricanes, who finished the game on a 14-3 run and shot almost 70 percent in the second half.Patrick Heckmann led the way with 15 points for eighth-seeded Boston College (16-17), which had its four-game winning streak snapped. Olivier Hanlan and Ryan Anderson scored 14 points apiece for the Eagles.Miami led by as much as 13 in the first half before Boston College scored 19 of the final 23 points - eight by Anderson - to forge a 27-25 lead at intermission. The Eagles made nine of their last 15 shots in the opening 20 minutes.Boston College pushed the lead to 42-37 on a Lonnie Jackson 3-pointer before Miami scored 11 of the next 13 points, including seven by Larkin, to take a four-point edge with 10:43 to go.
