Mouphtaou Yarou had 14 points and 15 rebounds, and his basket with 27 seconds remaining gave the Wildcats a 65-61 lead. Aaron Cosby scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half and Edwin had 18 points to lead Seton Hall (14-15, 3-13), which shot 61.9 percent from 3-point range. The Pirates were 13-for-18 from the foul line compared to 25-for-27 for Villanova. Kyle Smyth scored all 12 of his points on four 3-pointers in the first half for the Pirates, who made eight of their nine first-half field goals from beyond the arc.
