New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is unlikely to return to the Giants next season, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.

Declining production and several fines imposed by the team are the reasons Nicks may not be part of the Giants' future, according to the report.

Sources told Rapoport that Nicks was fined for two infractions - one for repeatedly being late to team meetings or practices and the other for missing treatments. Each fine was for thousands of dollars.

Nicks' best seasons were 2010 and 2011. He had 79 catches for 1,052 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2010, and had 76 receptions for 1,192 yards and seven touchdowns the next year.

In 2012, his production dropped to 53 catches, 692 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games, and this past season, Nicks had 56 receptions for 896 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games.
