The Reading Royals have had a couple of lengthy winning streaks this season. Their latest, an 8-game streak, was snapped with a loss in Trenton Thursday night. The Royals hoped to start a new one against those same Titans Friday night at home.
The Royals got back in the win column with a 5-4 victory over Trenton. But this game was one of the most physical and fight-filled all season.
Both teams combined for 112 penalty minutes in the third period.
The Titans scored three goals in the final period to make it a one-goal game, but the Royals were able to hold on for the win.
These two teams will finish their three-game set in Trenton Saturday night at 7:05.
