Sandberg named Minor League Manager of the Year
After guiding the IronPigs to a historic season, Ryne Sandberg has been given the ultimate honor.
Sandberg was named Minor League Manager of the Year by Baseball America on Monday.
In his first season with the 'Pigs, Sandberg led them to their first ever winning season and the International League Finals.
Sandberg interviewed for several Major League managerial jobs over the last few months, but the Phillies have since announced that he will be back with the IronPigs in 2012.
