Schuylkill Valley surges past Hamburg

In Leesport, after taking an early 9-0 lead the Panthers found themselves losers of five of the next seven bouts and trailing Hamburg 27-21. Schuylkill Valley tied the match following overtime decisions by both Dante Giorgio and Trevor Crupi. In the 106 pound weight class, a key pin by Schuylkill Valley's Jacob Horst over Michael Eicher at one minute and ten seconds gave the Panthers a 33-27 lead.

Schuylkill Valley won its final 5 decisions to win the match 42-27.

Schuylkill Valley is back in action Tuesday at Shamokin. Hamburg looks to rebound Tuesday when they visit Wyomissing.
