St. Mary's ousts Alvernia from NCAA Div. III tournament

Alvernia's season came to an end Saturday night with a 72-66 loss to St. Mary's (MD) in the second round of the NCAA Div. III Tournament in Reading.

St. Mary's moves on to the Sweet 16 round, to be played next Saturday.

Brian Parker led all scorers with 28 points and seven rebounds for the Crusaders.

Kahlil Bennett added 15 points and six rebounds, while Terrance Bridgers tallied 14 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

Alvernia ends its season at 24-5 overall.
