Trio of Berks wrestlers advance at AAA state tournament

Governor Mifflin cousins Marcus and Jan Johnson recorded wins in their opening bouts at the AAA state tournament in Hershey on Thursday. Both will compete in the quarterfinals Friday.

Joining them will be Boyertown freshman Jordan Wood, who also scored an opening round victory.

The three wrestlers, along with Brandywine Heights' standouts Peter Renda and Adam Mackie, are the only Berks wrestlers still in contention for a state title.
