Senior forward Juvonte Reddic posted a double-double, leading Virginia Commonwealth to a 76-60 victory over Fordham on Wednesday night at Stuart Siegel Center in Richmond, Va.

Reddic was one of three players who scored in double figures for Virginia Commonwealth (17-4, 5-1 Atlantic 10 Conference), which has won nine of its last 10 games. Sophomore guard Melvin Johnson had a team-high 13 points. Freshman guard JeQuan Lewis had 11 points.

Sophomore guard Mandell Thomas scored a game-high 25 points for Fordham (8-12, 1-6), which has lost eight of nine.

Virginia Commonwealth dominated the first half. The Rams shot just 37 percent from the field but made 7 of 16 from 3-point range and 13 of 16 free throws while holding Fordham to 33.3-percent shooting.

The game was tied 4-4 with 16:21 remaining in the opening period, but Virginia Commonwealth mounted two 8-0 runs to take a 22-8 lead with 8:49 to go in the half. Fordham cut the deficit to seven on a layup by Thomas with 7:35 to play, but Virginia Commonwealth closed the half with a 10-0 run to take a 40-23 lead at the break.

Fordham cut Virginia Commonwealth's lead to 11 with 12:38 to play in the second half, but the Rams responded with a 11-0 run later in the period and led by as many as 24 points.
