Wilson WL, Parkland each settle for state silver

The Wilson West Lawn boys soccer team and Parkland girls volleyball team each fell in their respective PIAA state championships on Saturday.

Wilson lost to Upper St. Clair 1-0 in the 3A state soccer title game at HersheyPark Stadium.

Parkland fell to Hempfield 3-1 in the 3A state volleyball title match at Central York High School.

Last year, the Trojans had beaten Hempfield 3-1 in the state final.
