When the Wilson football team reached the state semifinals, it was not without a ripple effect. One ripple was that the basketball team was missing some its players for the first few weeks of the season.
But the Bulldogs have thrived anyway.
Wilson went 5-2 to start this year. Wednesay night, they looked to continue their winning ways in a non-league matchup with Boyertown (3-6).
Behind a game-high 11 points from Travaun Coad, the Bulldogs handled the Bears 54-40.
Matt Timochenko added ten points for Wilson.
Mike Mansur scored nine points to pace Boyertown.
