Wyomissing wins first ever state football championship

Wyomissing has won the first PIAA state championship in Berks County football history, beating Aliquippa 17-14 in the 2A state title game in Hershey.
Mason Smith's 36-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter gave the Spartans the lead for good.
Smith also scored on a 13-yard run late in the first quarter.
Jonah Bowman hit a 52-yard field goal in the third quarter for Wyomissing - the longest field goal in PIAA playoff history.
Wyomissing finishes the year at 16-0, and with the first state championship ever for a Berks County team.
