The Alvernia and East Stroudsburg baseball teams both fell in their respective NCAA regional tournaments on Friday.
Alvernia saw its season come to an end with a 6-0 loss to Misericordia in the NCAA Div. III Regional Tournament.
Third-seeded Misericordia (38-10) scored four runs in the first inning and stole nine bases on 10 attempts in the win at PNC Field in Moosic.
The Crusaders end their season at 34-11 overall.
Alvernia made its fifth straight regional appearance and reached the 30-win plateau for the fourth straight season and fifth time in the last six years.
Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg fell 9-3 to Seton Hill in their second game at the NCAA Div. II Regional Tournament.
The loss of the Warriors first of the playoffs, and moves them into the losers' bracket of the double-elimination tournament.
East Stroudsburg will face the host team, Millersville, on Saturday at 11am in an elimination game.
