Bangor and Tamaqua punch tickets to District 11 final

Bangor, Tamaqua claim semifinal wins

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The defending champs, Bangor, advanced to the District 11-4A semifinal Friday night along with Tamaqua, who stunned Becahi, at Pates Park.

The top-seeded Slaters handled (4) Wilson in 5 innings, 14-2.

(3) Tamaqua upended the 2nd-seeded Golden Hawks, 5-3, in 8 innings.

The two will meet Tuesday at 6:00 at Parkland for the championship.

At the 3A level, the top two seeds, Pine Grove and Northern Lehigh, will meet for the crown.

Pine Grove topped Palmerton, 5-1. Northern Lehigh got by Salisbury, 6-5.
