FLEETWOOD -

Just two days after finishing the football season in the state semifinals, many key members of the Berks Catholic basketball team suited up for the first time on Monday in Fleetwood. If the expectations were high for football, they may be higher for basketball.

Led by 19 points from Bucknell commit Nana Foulland, Berks Catholic took care of Fleetwood, 66-42, on Monday night. The Saints (1-0, 2-1) did not look electric, but for their first time together, good enough for a convincing win.

Connor Jack and Chris Warren each had 13 points for B.C. as well.

Fleetwood (0-1, 0-1), playing its season opener, got a team-high 14 points from Matt Hook.

Berks Catholic visits Trinity on Wednesday. The Tigers play at Oley Valley Tuesday.
