Alex Berry scored in the first overtime period for the Reading Royals, giving them a 3-2 win over Cincinnati on Sunday night. Reading leads the Eastern Conference Finals 2-0.
Mathieu Aubin got the scoring started for Cincinnati, driving home a one-timer off the powerplay. The Cyclones led 1-0 after the first period.
In the second, Reading responded with a goal from Bobby Shea. It was a 1-1 game entering the third period.
Dustin Stevenson scored on a wrister from the point to give the Royals a lead early in the period. But Aubin struck again ten minutes later to tie the score at 2 and eventually send the game to overtime.
In the extra period, Kirk MacDonald got behind the net and sent the puck into the slot where Alex Berry put it top shelf to give the Royals their second straight overtime win over Cincinnati.
Game 3 will be in Cincinnati on Wednesday night.
