The Wilson West Lawn and Conrad Weiser girls soccer teams will meet each other in the BCIAA final on Thursday in Tulpehocken. It's the first time that these two old rivals have met all season.
The Bulldogs (9-1, 16-4) are coming off a 3-0 victory over divisional-rival Governor Mifflin in the semi-finals.
Wilson faced Conrad Weiser in the county semis last season. Even though the Bulldogs came out on top in penalty kicks, the team knows things won't be any easier this time around.
Wilson fell to Fleetwood on penalty kicks in the BCIAA final last year.
As for Conrad Weiser (8-2, 14-5), the Scouts are playing their best soccer of the year at the best possible time.
The team has won 12 straight games and has not lost a contest in a month. Weiser defeated Fleetwood, 3-0, in the semis.
The Scouts had some chemistry issues early in the season, getting them out the door slowly. But the team has come on in the second half, and it looks poised to compete for multiple championships.
Thursday's game will begin at 5:30 at Tulpehocken High School.
