College Recap: KU men notch huge win at Shippensburg; Lycoming sweeps Alvernia

SHIPPENSBURG - The Kutztown men's basketball team posted a huge win Wednesday at Shippensburg, 81-75. Back in Berks, Lycoming notched a pair of key wins over Alvernia.

At Shippensburg, Ethan Ridgeway scored 20 points and the Golden Bears won their 9th straight game, pulling to within a half game of PSAC East leading Shippensburg.

KU was ranked 10th in the country, while the Raiders came in at #9.

The Golden Bears (17-2) had five scorers in double-figures.

In the early game, the Shippensburg women downed Kutztown, 71-53.

At Jack McCloskey Court, Lycoming cemented its supremacy atop the Commonwealth standings with a 78-61 triumph over the Crusaders.

George Williams had a game-high 18 points for Alvernia.

The Warriors pulled away in the second half behind a 22-5 run.

In the early game, the lady Warriors defeated the Crusaders, 70-52.
