Lafayette eager to re-enter Patriot League play

Lafayette eager to re-enter Patriot League play

After going winless in the non-conference portion of its schedule, Lafayette will finally re-enter Patriot League play on Saturday when it visits Holy Cross.

The Leopards went 0-5 in their non-league games this year, but are 1-0 so far within the Patriot League.

Freshman quarterback Drew Reed rallied the Leopards in last week's loss at Harvard.

Reed replaced Andrew Dzurik and going 17-of-22 for 235 yards and two touchdowns in the second half.

The quarterback battle is expected to be an open competition between Reed, Dzurik, and freshman Blake Searfoss going forward.
