Lehigh and Lafayette talk football at media day

The College Football season is almost upon us now. Lehigh and Lafayette will both open practice in the latter part of next week, both hoping to do better than what the preseason prognosticators expect from them.  Lehigh has been picked second just behind Colgate in the preseason poll in the Patriot League, Lafayette has been picked fourth. The Mountain Hawks finished in second place last season, just behind that same Colgate team in the race for the Patriot League title.  To get back to the top this year, they know they're going to have to have some new faces step up because while they are still talented, they are also much younger in the 2013 season.

At Lafayette, the Leopards know they have something to prove. Players talked today about having a chip on their shoulders heading into this season. The Leopards know getting from fourth to first means putting in a lot of hard work, work that started this summer with most of their roster working out on College Hill.
