Local wrestlers lead Kutztown to comeback win

The Kutztown wrestling team earned an 18-17 comeback win over Gannon on Saturday, led by a group of strong local wrestlers.

The 7th-ranked Golden Bears fell behind No. 20 Gannon 17-9 heading into the final two bouts.

But at 197 lbs, Methacton grad Brandon Clark picked up a pin on Andrew Wood to cut the lead to 17-15.

Then Bethlehem Catholic grad Ziad Haddad sealed the win with an 8-3 win over Nick Budd in the final bout.

The match was Kutztown's first home dual meet of the season.
