Eagles release Curry

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Eagles released defensive lineman Vinny Curry on Friday. The roster move was originally reported by ESPN's Tim McManus, but then the team announced it officially on Friday evening.

The two sides reportedly talked about a pay cut, but could not reach an agreement.

The release of him will save the Eagles $5 million in cap space.
