Even in the rain, it's no surprise the Emmaus field hockey team spent the morning working hard on their turf field. The Green Hornets are a perennial power, and it's taken a lot of hard work by a lot of very good players to put the program in that position going back many years. This year's team opens workouts trying to earn the one win they didn't get last year, a state championship game win. The Green Hornets finished 2nd in the state last season, and there are several returning players this year that are hungry to be even better this year. Plus, this is a group that has been putting in some hard work to prepare, so now that fall practice is here they are extremely optimistic.
