The Fightin Phils later added three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth. In the fifth, Jiandido Tromp hit a three-run home run, while Scott Kingery hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Carlos Tocci in the sixth.

Alexis Rivero (1-1) got the win in relief while Trenton starter Justus Sheffield (6-5) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
