Mets 3, Mariners 1

SEATTLE -- Starter Jacob deGrom scattered five hits over seven innings, and Lucas Duda provided a cushion with an eighth-inning home run that went 446 feet as New York beat Seattle.

DeGrom (4-5) allowed one earned run while striking out seven to give the Mets their first win at Safeco Field, where New York had lost its previous four games -- including a three-game sweep in 2005.

This was the third consecutive start in which deGrom has gone seven innings. He has not allowed more than one run in any of the three.
