SHILLINGTON -

There may not be a Berks County baseball team with more talent or higher expectations this season than Governor Mifflin. The Mustangs have plenty of arms and plenty of pop, making them the early favorites in the county.

Early on, Mifflin has certainly played like it. The Mustangs were 4-0 and had outscored opponents 41-5 heading into Monday's game against Conrad Weiser. But the Scouts handed Mifflin its first loss of the season, 5-4.

The team is not letting the hype and expectations get to its head. Mifflin knows the target has been painted on their backs. That has motivated them to work harder and to come into every game prepared to play their best.
