SHILLINGTON -

The Governor Mifflin football team will have very good size on their offensive and defensive lines this season. The question is, whether those lines can become quick enough to become an even greater threat.

With the departure of key skill guys like Ryan Barbon, Tommy DePaul and TJ Battinieri, quarterback Jan Johnson is now the focal point of the Mustang offense. Therefore, a big and athletic offensive line is even more important.

Mick Vecchio is excited about some running backs that have returned this season. The platoon should feature a good mix of speed and power.

Governor Mifflin captured the Berks Section I title last year, winning 10 straight games at one point. The Mustangs fell to rival Wilson in the District playoffs, a loss that can be avenged in week 1 of the season.
