Coatesville scores 59 points to win District 1 Championship

The Coatesville football team won the District 1 AAAA Championship by beating Spring-Ford 59-28. The Red Raiders are averaging 51 points per game in the playoffs.

The Red Raiders have been unstoppable on offense in the playoffs, scoring 204 points in 4 games, including 59 in the title game.  The Red Raiders scored the first 14 points of the game.  Spring-Ford's Tate Carter then returned a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown to cut the lead in half.  Coatesville answered with an Emmett Hunt touchdown pass and never looked back after that winning 59-28 to win the title and advance to the state semifinal round against the winner of the Parkland - LaSalle game on Saturday.
