D-11 girls teams fall in 2nd round of state tournament

Parkland, Northampton, and Salisbury all saw their seasons come to an end Tuesday night in the second round of the state tournament.
District 11 AAAA champion Parkland fell to Bayard Rustin 56-36. The Trojans fell behind in the 2nd quarter and could never rebound to get back into the game. The Trojans season ends with the loss.
Northampton's upset bid of #1 ranked North Penn was going well early, the K-Kids were tied with North Penn at 22 apiece in the first half. But the Knights went on a big run at the end of the half and the start of the 2nd half to eventually win 73-45.
Salisbury trailed Mount Carmel much of the night in their AA game, but rallied in the 2nd half to cut the lead to just 3 in the final minutes thanks to a Meagan Eripret basket and foul. Mount Carmel would withstand the run however, winning 60-56.
