DISTRICT PLAYOFF RUNDOWN: Pen Argyl, No. Lehigh to meet for title; Pius X, Wyo win

District Playoff Rundown

Pen Argyl pummeled Pine Grove 42-13 on Saturday to preserve its perfect record and advance to the District 11 2A championship game.

The top-seeded Green Knights will host Colonial League rival Northern Lehigh in the District title game next Saturday.

The third-seeded Bulldogs won at North Schuylkill 28-0 in a rematch of last year's District title game.

Pius X beat Williams Valley 42-14 in the District 11 Class A semifinals at Nazareth's Andrew Leh Stadium.

The top-seeded Royals will host No. 3 Shenandoah, which won at Minersville, 26-25.

In District 3, undefeated Wyomissing cruised past visiting Littlestown, 49-26.

The Spartans will travel to No. 2 Bermudian Springs next week.

In District 1, No. 11 North Penn routed No. 6 Bayard Rustin 48-21 in a 4A first round matchup.

The Knights will host rival Neshaminy next week in a rematch of last year's District 1 championship game.

In Eastern Conference action, Liberty squeaked by Wallenpaupack 34-33 in overtime.

The Hurricanes will visit Whitehall next week for the Eastern Conference Championship.
