Donmoyer honored as Allen beats Dieruff

Allen honored John Donmoyer - the winningest coach in Lehigh Valley boys basketball history - with a floor dedication on Saturday, then followed that up with a rivalry win over Dieruff.

Donmoyer spent 23 years as head coach at Allen and the last 16 seasons at Moravian Academy, amassing 612 career wins.

While at Allen, he led the Canaries to five East Penn Conference titles and six District 11 crowns.

On Saturday, Allen named the floor at Sewards Gym, "Donmoyer Court," and held a pregame ceremony in his honor.

The Allen boys followed up the ceremony with a 63-56 over Dieruff.

In the first game, the Dieruff girls picked up their first win of the season, beating Allen, 48-47.
